Yes, they are very easy to handle. All you have to do is feed them once a week and crickets make sure they have the sand, a heat lamp and a place to hide / climb as the lizard.

a leopard gecko lizard is a very good beginning. they are very docile and “easy” to take charge. They are nocturnal creatures so you do not need to buy UVA / UVB light. they can do very good in a 10 gallon tank, I am currently using one gallon long 20 but soon I will be their passage through a rack of reptiles. they can also do good in a Rubbermaid tub or Sterlite / catch-all, if you use a tub / tote ensure that it is at least 18 inches long, 8-12 cm wide and 6-10 cm. they need a heat source, I recommend a UTH (under tank heater) or buffer “human” heating will be perfect, put it under a portion of the enclosure. make sure it has three skins, a freshness, a hot and humid. choose a substrate, but I do not recommend that sand can cause impaction. put a water dish, food dish, a dish of calcium, a thermostat, thermometer and hygrometer. feed a variety of crickets, mealworms, superworms, cockroaches and locusts, you just want to make sure it has a variety. If you get a leopard gecko do your research, they are docile, “easy” to take care and do not cost much money, but after you get all the stuff needed and the gecko you could spend a pretty penny, but after this, they are relatively cheap.
