Try to keep saying over and over again until it calms down

Question:
I have a cocker spaniel. It 5 years barks whenever he hears the adhan (the Islamic adhan is the call to prayer and is recited by a muezzin). I live next to the mosque so it is quite noisy. Yelp is very disturbing because it occurs five times a day early in the morning, around 5 to 6 hours. It really bothers my Parrent, and I do not want to leave the house. I get up every time he does, and stay close to the dog until the end adhan. So I do not think it’s the attention he seeks. Does anyone know how to stop this?

Your dog is not barking, he is simply responding to the adhan. Ask any religious person and they will tell you the same thing. All animals are the creation of the gods we were told to recite again and again until they cease. (Just like the person above me said)

The fact that you get up and sit with your dog every time he barks is exactly what he wants. You need to get up – yelling QUIET (! The dog not to the mosque) and then leave. If he continues to bark, you should try other ideas (most dogs hate water spray from a spray bottle – a bit of vinegar in the water really stops, make Just do not spray the eyes). Read a book on dog training. The important thing is not to give attention other than a command prompt when it starts to bark, otherwise you reinforce the bad behavior. The only other thing is that maybe he is a Muslim frustrated and I would pray!

Something gave your dog the idea that it is a threat. I do not know what, but a cure … Take your dog in a room where you can not hear the adhan. Do this before the adhan commence.Parlez him quietly while you are together in the chambre.Faites for several days. Next, open the door of the room you are a little bit, so you (and your dog) can just hear the calls – still talk to your dog calmly. Open the door a little wider every time there is a call to prayer, keeping your dog close and talking softly. (You may need to do this several times a day – but it can be useful to solve the problem more quickly). Do not pet the dog. This gives the dog the idea that there is a threat. Just talk to her calmly and quietly and try to give the impression that everything is normal.Si the dog seems stressed, step back / close the door and recommencer.Pour do this over and over again, eventually your dog will get used to it and become immune. Believe me, it works, if you do it right.
