Question:
I have a 11 month old dog called patch, it is a cross between a jack russell and a cocker spaniel. He grew up with our other dog sammy (both are male), they got along very well, but fall at times because sammy is old and the patch was a bit too much sometimes. Anyway me and my fiance moved in together and the patch is a bit meaner now nothing really bad, but meaner. I really want another dog, in part because I think patch misses the company of Sammy. Patch hasn’t been neutered yet but will soon. Do you think we should get another, so if male or female better? He gets along well with my friends female boarder collie (and she hates other dogs in general) they like to run round lots. We sort of patch saved it wasn’t very well cared for and had skin problems and was malnourished. It is now very happy, but we think it is lonely. Any advice please

Have him neutered first. You’ll be surprised how it can change behavior.

Oh my yes! I checked with my puppy and it confirms my belief that long each dog needs a dog … or two! It can be male or female, just be sure to get one or the other fixed. Nothing happier than dogs playing with dogs! go!

Get neutered Patch is a really good idea, especially for his health. Generally, it’s a better idea to have a dog of each sex – they tend to get on better than 2 men or 2 women would be. As he is accustomed to having another pet, it is likely lonely and would like a new playmate.

If you have a bad dog, do not add a second until you correct the problems with the first … Or you’ll end up with two vicious dogs.

Hello, There is no yes / no answer to your question: it depends on you and Patch.Vous already know you want another dog. You know if Patch now really want another dog in the maison.Pourquoi do not you try him with another dog first? Dog-sitting for friends, her walk with other dogs, take her to a rescue center and see if he likes other large / small dogs …. So if you want him neutered, the do first. vœuxRikwww.vetstoria.com Top

It may be good for a dog to have a playmate, he keep him company and help burn excess energy. Generally, it is to you and your fiance to decide if you want another dog and the extra care that goes with it. Sex was probably not as important as is ensuring that dogs are compatible. Having another dog to play with when you can not play with it can help prevent boredom and find it hard to take.

  9. HELEN LOOKING4 Says:

Yes. But be careful when you introduce a new “friend” àPatch.Patch is not a threat if he is neutered so boy or a Girls’ ok.

We always had two dogs, because they are the company for another. They are less likely to get bored and start doing things like chewing. And dogs are social animals, they like to live in a pack.Juste be sure that your new dog will be compatible with the patch. It would be better to have castrated patch first, and it does not matter if it’s a male or female, provided they love.

Get another dog might be a good idea. It will definitely help your dog cope with the loss of his friend. However, I think if you get another dog, you should get castrated if you decide to take a wife. My dog died when my pumpkin dog Thor was only a few months. My dog Layla pumpkin helped get over it. Now my old dog years Njord using pumpkin (almost 8) Layla further deaths. Maybe you could go to a local shelter and try to find a dog that matches the personality Patch for they agree. So not only will help your dog, you will help a dog that needs a loving home.

After your dog is fixed and has recovered, and rested entirely, and is back to “normal” for another dog can actually help correct certain behaviors in your dog unwated current. everyone has a tendency to “humanize” dogs, and forget that they were born in a package and they are a dog. (Dog in a good way people) in a pack of men is always a leader on the females while a female would be a better choice. Remember that this new puppy will not be solved until about 5 months later, so you do not want a man with strong odors of urine while your hound can no longer do so after being fixed . get your car from a woman who has about the same features as yours, or calmer, not more hyper.Lors the introduction of the new dog, you must put your dog when he does not see your new puppy. let the new puppy smell of the house (the male responds to the smell) “When you introduce your wife, her ass should be at his nose. Never the same eye. let him sniff, but then see if he allowed himself to put it gently and sniff.puis superviser.bonne luck!

Try to get a dog of the same age, if you can, or a puppy.

Well I think you should be castrated to get him to calm down and then go from there.

Get neutered and see how it settles down. It can be much happier and not need another friend.
