Question:
I have a one year Cross Springer cocker spaniel called Molly. Since we first got her she was really sticky. You can not leave a room without her following you or cry, if you go upstairs for a minute. When we sit down, she is constantly wanting to hassle and it pushes against you until either the delay or give affection. But when we are busy, it is not always possible to give her affection. When we say out of it, it does not seem to get through to her and she has. Does anyone have techniques to stop this?
What do you think? Answer below!
what you need to do is ignore it for about an hour (not so much attention that) and his praise. She will then learn that you will not give her attention all the time and stop askin for her all the Maltese has temps.Mon but I found that this technique works!
My Bichon is the same! What I do is give him a story, attention, but on my terms. If it starts to whine when I’m busy, I ignore it, and avoid eye contact. It will then be installed (usually right under my feet!). I let him come on my knees, etc., but only when I call and leave him more.
“But when we are busy, it is not always possible to give her affection” That said you give her affection when she asks and you are not busy. So she can not understand why you did not when you are occupé.Simple, does his affection when you go to her for lui.Quand you sit down, ignore it completely, until it finds by itself next to you or stop agitation on you. Reward calm behavior with affection. Never give affection when required.
Do you have a case? I have a puppy that is willing to go under my feet, blown to attract attention, you name it. When I need to do things and can not give my full attention to her, she goes into his cage with his toy or treat to distract him. I recommend you to a crate, cover the sides and top three, do not use it as a punishment, ever, and not leave it there for long periods of time (outside of the night). This should help.
Saved my Beagle had passed through this phase, as it has been abandoned by a local animal shelter before I got it. I completely ignored here, except that I needed her to swim, walk, or feed. It is hard to ignore your cute, furry, soft, little hot dog, but for his own good, you have to do for a while. I sit at one end of my house right now and it is only in the other end. She did not even come back here. It was fine for a few months now and follow me everywhere, even when I call, what is bad, so I need to work on that now. Just act like you do not hear or see. She will recover, but break your heart just for a while. I used to have a black bear hamster named Molly ………..
When you return to the room she is in. ignore it … giving all his attention, after you return him to think of it as what it has to do to come back. It’s good to start tapping its hour maybe a half later ….
