you must understand that s the bird and be a little nervous, interact with him to talk, touch (petting) scratch his head when it does so nobody is there (when you are alone with the bird). When you try to interact with him, when others are around its going to be nervous because he does not trust you. also keep the bird in the same area (keep it in the same room) hope this helps

Question:
I’ve had it for 6 years and she is 6 years 4 months old. It has always been a nervous bird, it is hand-reared, but she is afraid of everything and very shy. She goes out of its cage and is with me, she is sweet, but just wish it was not so afraid of everything, including his entourage.

It just seems that it is his nature. If you’ve had for six years and there is nobody who abuses his or animal like a dog or cat to cause stress, so it may just be a nervous bird. Green is my cheek that way and if we speak two completely different birds, the fact is that I had my cheek green at the time, she was 6 weeks, she receives great attention and care, she its own aviary during the day and the cage to sleep at night that I cover. She could not be more loved and protected … but every sound and movement are nervous, especially if other birds outside. Your Grey is extremely intelligent, perhaps it is just a little nervous too … you continue to love, what can you do?
